Contax has 4 lenses two of them variable aperture zooms. Plenty coming any minute. But the word is out to not expect the camera to work at all out of the box. You send it right back to the factory. I'm not sure what happens next. You go out and get a Digital Sureshot to keep in your shirt pocket. I'm sure Contax (Kyocera) will get it right in the next year or so. Nikon DOES have a Full chip in the form of a Kodak DCS body on a Nikon F5 (that's two bodies!??) which is supposed to be a piece of junk at i don't know what price but it might be 7 grand. Although some people think it works fine. Leica got in over it's head thinking it's first camera was going to be full chip. Too many hidden problems. I'm OK with 1.3 although it destroys the new 2/3's format they want to come out. Cameras which take advantage of the smaller image circle by being smaller. Film based as well. Cute little cartridges. I'm glad Leica has gotten it's act together Digital R wise bit its too steep too late. I'm making a huge investment in Nikon this month, this week because for me it had to happen know. My last 5 quotes were from people wanting to know when the CD would be ready. Who did they think I am Bono? I make images not orchestrations! But time to get with the times.
