Thank God Leica doesn't do anything that foolish. ;-) - -----Original Message----- From: owner-leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us [mailto:owner-leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us] On Behalf Of Karen Nakamura Sent: Monday, May 26, 2003 3:36 PM To: leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us Subject: RE: [Leica] Oh ... It's COMING SOON! :-) >You point to changes in the value of the dollar to talk about the >camera "increasing in value?" How much is a used M7, Karen? More than >$2495? Errr... we're talking about NEW prices right? Otherwise the point that the ND was $7000 when released, $5000 six months later would be really inane. Yes, the ND was $7000 (new) at first, then Contax lowered the price. So did Canon when the D60 was near end of life, and so does every other digital camera manufacturer. You can always count on a (new/retail) digital camera to be CHEAPER one year from now then it is now. Same model, lower price. You can't count on a (new/retail) Leica being cheaper one year from now. Same model, higher price. That's my one and only point. Sheesh, you guys are a real bunch of ABSOLUTE BLOCKHEADS if I may say so kindly.
