I saw it as an obvious design flaw and could never understand why Leica designed it that way. It seemed much too easy to move the ASA setting by accident. In practice, mine has never moved unintentionally, but it's good to know Leica has fixed the flaw. I wonder if Leica USA will retrofit the fix into older M7s still under warranty. - --Jim Laurel - ----- Original Message ----- From: "Stephen Sherman" <ssherman@shermanphoto.com> To: <leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us> Sent: Thursday, May 15, 2003 4:30 PM Subject: [Leica] M7 problem? > I have a question for other M7 owners. > I have 2 M7's one pruchased in January, the other a couple of weeks ago. > The earlier one's asa dial rotates freely and does not lock. > The later one locks inplace and is released by the button. > What does your's do? > > Regards > > > > Stephen Sherman > 617-542-1496 wk > 617-513-3354 cell > 781-444-5540 hm > > > -- > To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html - -- To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html
