I have a Porter-Cable round orbiting sander, but those don't do edges too very well, given the round shape. There are little edging sanders that have square pads, like the Makita (we have one, but I don't have the model number), that work well. If you are really doing something heavy-duty, you can rent an edging sander that will really peel those edges up very professionally. I sanded my entire kitchen floor by hand with the Porter Cable orbital sander, on my hands and knees, after I laid 1 x 8 pine planks nailed through the face, to the subfloor. Get knee pads, man, or you'll never walk again! I won't even mention the backache. Once AGAIN I have to end this BAG nonsense. (I get no respect) I don't know why people keep bickering about bags when it's ALREADY BEEN DECIDED people. Just go BUY it and be DONE with it. http://www.asc.upenn.edu/usr/cassidy/pix/equipment/bags/metal/index.html Now, someone please tell me which random orbit sander I need to do the edges of my kitchen floor after I drum sand the middle of it.
