As live feed location video becomes more practical, and since that's what pulls in viewers (i.e. revenue), might we see video replacing still photography more at major news events? But what really caught my attention was that while I've seen stills on television, as you point out, I've also seen stills extracted from video gracing the pages of periodicals. Even magazine covers for peat sake. Crude looking, perhaps, but certain to get better. Nothing that a little PS couldn't fix. Not even an ethical issue. A video frame is still a still. Could it be that in the future one person or crew with one set of equipment will serve both video and still media? I was joking about a video EOS, but talk about the ultimate motor drive camera. Could just be a matter of time and technology. Conversely, maybe the mindset required for still and video are just too different. What the heck do I know??? :-) DaveR - -- To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html
