We were indeed happy in Switzerland, but I was laid off last year, tried to eke out a living as an independent consultant but the income was too erratic to support a family and a Leica habit, so I looked around and found a job in the Netherlands. NL is not bad either. Many LUGgers there, cheap and plentiful Belgian beer, Amsterdam, the place is flat so it is easy to send the kids to the bakery on their bicycles, did I mention the Belgian beer? And last week I discovered that the Schiphol airport shop has the cheapest Lagavullin I have seen anywhere.
