I'd never trust D-76 when I got down to the bottom of one of the 1.5 liter bottles. With X-tol I haven't had the slightest bit of problem. I buy 5 liters at a time. Ok, I don't keep it around that long, certainly not for a year. I use it diluted so I just use it up and mix a new batch. Nary a bit of problems. I do use distilled water to mix, but not to dilute. Not very rational, but the instructions that go out once a month or so don't say anything about the water you dilute with :) Daniel At 11:35 26.03.2003 -0800, you wrote: >Adam Bridge wrote: > > > > XTOL in a container with a floating lid? > > > > Kodak Rapid Fixer - same > > > > These containers are stored where they receive indirect light and both > are about > > 1/3 full. > > > > They have been sitting, undisturbed, for a couple of months.
