In my hot car last summer, the epoxy apparently became gummy and allowed the rear caps to displace sideways, so that only about half the surfaces were in contact. I slid them back together, took them inside, and the bond became rigid again. I used an epoxy from the local hardware store. No lens damage ensued. I then bought a Leica-made coupler from an auction site whose name escapes me at the moment ;) Julian - ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ernest Nitka" <enitka@twcny.rr.com> To: <leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us> Sent: Wednesday, March 12, 2003 12:47 PM Subject: Re: [Leica] Leica Catalog # Needed Jerry - I can't answer your question but made my own by gluing two caps together - total cost maybe $20. I hate it when people respond but not to the question but had to throw my $0.02 in. ernie nitka At 09:50 AM 3/12/03 -0800, you wrote: >LUGers > >I am trying to find out the Leica part number or code name >for the rear lens coupling cap that permits M lenses to be >stored back to back.
