The US should contribute the same percentage of its GNP as the Netherlands or any other country to the UN -- or maybe we could lower the Netherlands percentage to match that of the US? Then all the problems would be solved. In fact, each country should devote exactly the same percentage of its GNP to everything, from health care to national defense to highways, etc. And Leicas should be given away to people who can't afford to buy them (or at least discounted), or maybe we should find a way so that everyone pays the same percentage of their income for everything. I am not sure exactly how we would administer this; perhaps it would take a slightly drunk dutchman? <bg> 8-) =============================================================== Date: Mon, 10 Mar 2003 14:42:45 +0100 From: "animal" <s.jessurun95@chello.nl> Subject: Re: [Leica] wimpy slightly drunk dutchman Message-ID: <019401c2e70a$ee556be0$388a8418@symkeehx5nw8g8> References: <002b01c2e4d1$5b816660$a7b4f140@photonewsnetw> <p05111b02ba8ec8ef5c42@[64.134.81.107]> <3E69453D.61B624C2@pacbell.net> <006401c2e51a$33671820$81c793ac@aoldsl.net> <5.2.0.9.2.20030309172816.02dad290@mail.infoave.net> in absolute trems i stand corrected but as a percentage of it,s national product it pays less then most other nations simon __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
