It all depends on how >fast you pronounce the word. I thought 'bakero' was the offensive Baka is a derivative pronunciation of vaca which in Spanish means cow. "B" and "V" in Spanish are pronounced as somewhat between the two consonants. Bakero (vaquero) means cowboy. If Baka or vaca is considered an insult, it could be that in some societies a loose woman is called a cow, or vaca. The Japanese use of the word baka could have an entirely different meaning, unless they learned it from the Filipinos during WW II.
