Go into the attic and drag 'em out! They're becoming as valuable as old Leicas! Take a look at this Web site for a look-see! It's amazing. I wish I still had my old Hermes Rocket, that mini-manual. Funny you should say that - I have recently found myself fondly recalling typing on typewriters, to the point of wondering if I wanted to buy an old Underwood. I haven't succumbed yet, and probably won't, but the thought is there. But of course it's not the Underwood logo that's calling to me, it's what I remember of the tactile feel and sound of typing, and it's also probably the fact that I connect both to my long-gone youth. Absolutely no value-added as an instrument for taking pictures. In fact, its a step backwards. Although it might touch the hearts of true die-hard Leica fans, but as far as I'm concerned, there is really no sentimental ties. I can't see myself typing with an Underwood typewriter now that I have a PC. - --- grduprey@rockwellcollins.com wrote: > > From what I can see from the photo, we get the Leica > Script back, which to > some is worth the price of admission.
