Brian - Type II diabetes shouldn't be a reason for a dark and dreary future - as long as you don't handle it like my father did. He always managed to convince himself that once he had his shot he could go ahead and eat that quart of ice cream and it would be o.k.! Mine is under control now with only diet and exercise.
