[Author Prev] [Author Next] [Thread Prev] [Thread Next] [Author Index] [Topic Index] [Home] [Search]I have been using Tmax100 for years with good results. However, in the last 6 months or so I have gone through a rash of scratched film issues involving multiple cameras. At first I thought my bulk loader had gone bad or had a batch of bad cans, so I changed to preloaded 24 exposure rolls. The problem continues. The scratches are random in their location across the back of the film and do not generally run the full length of the roll. As an experiment I tried pulling a roll out of the can, rewinding it by hand and then pulling it out again. To my suprise there were light scratches on the film back without even being loaded in the camera! I am also using Delta 100 and many other color films with no problems, and since it is not isolated to a particular camera I am thinking the film backing has been changed in some way. I also notice that Kodak has started using masking tape to anchor the film to the spool, instead of the black rubber tape they used in the past. Either actually sucks because they both can cause a static spark if pulled off to fast, but the new tape seems to tear into strips easily, making for problems when loading. (I COULD use scissors, but have had accidents when using them in the dark...) Has anyone else seen similar issues with TMAX100? Best wishes Dan States Grand Forks ND _________________________________________________________________ The new MSN 8: advanced junk mail protection and 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/junkmail - -- To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html
