I do think in terms of the major media, I think the bias is towards keeping the status-quo. With GE running NBC, watch and see if you ever seen anything nuclear-power-related. With the others, most of their foreign bureaus have been closed, so there is very little actual coverage of events outside the U.S. I think one needs to read and listen to many sources in order to get a balanced view of what is happening, and that may indeed range from Al-Jazira to The Progressive, to the NYT, to many of the independent radio media, PRI, NPR, and many others, many of which most folks have never heard of, as they are small, and not very powerful, but at the same time revealing much the major media never cover. Take a look at the IPA (Independent Press Association) at www.indypress.org for some very good titles in print and online media.
