If you're shooting a 90 AA or 28 A then you are shooting a "cron" which is a fast lens by most peoples definition. Don't forget grain shows itself in the out of focus areas. And if you've got a wider aperture (1.4) and faster film you're going to be getting some crunchy bokeh you're not used to. I often feel the best fast lens is a good tripod but if Buddhist Temples are like the Basilicas of Florence and Venice than you wont be using those. And if they are that dark. I was hand holding at 1/4 with a 50mm 2.8 Voigtländer Color Scopar lens. You could get one of those Gyro things. This would be your chance to justify getting the 35 Summilux Asph a hugely useful lens which I covet; but have a Noctilux.
