With respect, the remarks about "bring your Barf Bag" are utterly inaccurate with regard to "Pull My Daisy" and do the film a disservice. Frank, especially the later work, is difficult and may not be worth the struggle for some, but this film is accessible, though perhaps a little loose and wacky. I saw it as part of a Frank film festival in Portland, OR over 20 years ago, so my comments are based in old (but I believe pretty accurate) memories. Respectfully submitted, Dan Kapsner (usually a lurker) > A reminder about the free showing of the Robert Frank film, Pull My > Daisy, at the Art Institute of Chicago. This also includes a lecture. > Sadly, I'm working on a project and may miss the event, but did want > to remind everyone in the area (along with a few outside the 'hood). > > -- Day/Date: Tuesday, January 21 > -- Time: 6 p.m. > -- Place: Fullerton Hall, The Art Institute of Chicago > -- Questions: 312-443-3680 (The Art Institute of Chicago) > - -- To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html
