I mean that Metz and Quantum make Leica-specific adapters which allow their own flash units to be used in TTL mode with the appropriate Leica models. Metz makes one that also works with the earlier Leica R cameras, but their 3502 adapter works with the R8 and M6TTL. I believe they also make an even newer one that works with the HSS mode on the R9 and M7. Quantum's adapter works with the R8, R9, M6TTL and M7. It is compatible, of course, only with Quantum's T2 (and possibly X2) flash units.
