My specific objection to eBay and the LUG is to people using the LUG to advertise objects for sale on eBay. I have no quarrel with noncommercial or abstract mentions of eBay. There is no rule against mentioning it. The rule is against sending a message to the LUG suggesting that people consider buying something that is for sale on eBay.
