I have a Hexar RF which I use with all manner of Leica glass without any focusing problems (beyond old eyes and user error) and when this question first arose in May 2001 I did a survey of LUG users (14 people replied) of Hexars with Leica lenses and of all replies - 13 of 14 were satisfied with the focusing of Leica lenses on Hexar bodies. You might want to check the archives for the exchanges around that time. Also Steve Gandy's site, in the Hexar review has some comments. See http://www.cameraquest.com/konicam.htm. Finally, you might check out Erwin Puts' site. Erwin maintains the two marques are incompatible, but his measurement criteria are very narrow and in real world use most users are very satisfied, it seems. See http://www.imx.nl/photosite/japan/hexarrf.html Hope this helps. Howard Cummer Hong Kong - -- To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html
