The first comment I can make about it is it is very light. Feels as light as one of the plastic Canon EOS, but of course it is metal. With the motor drive mounted, it is well balanced and quite a bit lighter than an EOS 1V with booster or Nikon F5. I will be using it for a few days this weekend and I will report my impressions of it later. BTW, I told the Canadian Leica Agent I would take whatever came in first. It was an Anthracite one that arrived at my dealer this afternoon. The Anthacite is about the tone of a hammertone paint, but with the even texture of a chrome finish. I think it is a coating process used for the R9 finishes.
