Hi Håkan,

I think the encyclopedia refers to it as "inexact" because if you take 
the language family to be the determining factor, then Scandinavia 
should consist of Denmark, Iceland, Norway and Sweden but certainly not 
Finland. On the other hand, no Icelanders I have ever met referred to 
themselves as Scandinavians, while most of the Finns I know do.
