They call it winter quarter when everything is quiet. Even I am getting more quiet, at least my life. Actually I always was A Quiet Man... I am sitting here in my old house writing, playing tin and low whistles, reading in front of the fireplace in the kitchen, or downstairs in front of a beautiful Irish stove. It is not cold here, but I like fire during these dead months of the year. The cameras are also quiet - as a matter of fact I haven't used them for a while. I have put an end to my photographic period. Now I am doing a little teaching at the Art Academy of the nearest bigger town. It is nice taking the train through the wood for an hour, meeting young people full of belief, walking through the streets back to the station after the lessons, having a glass of wine or a beer, and then by train slowly back again to the stoves and fireplaces up the hillside above this old Gaelic village where we still live. I watch your book regularly http://www.islandnet.com/~tedgrant/ - - indeed a nice piece of work, which I warmly recommend.
