Photography would be impossible without technology.  Besides, the 
statement above is totally absurd.  What is 'real' photography?  And 
what is the implied 'too much technology'?  Should we go back to 
mechanical cameras alone?  Sheet film?  Glass plates?  Daguerrotypes?  
All of them depend upon technology.  Photography with the latest 
whizz-bang digital SLR, viewed on a computer monitor, or printed on an 
inkjet printer, is no more or less "real" than anything going on at the 
turn of the (20th) century.
