That said, recently, the performance has sometimes been no better than dial-up. Apparently, my provider has had problems with its proxy servers. I reboot my router (DLINK) and cable modem (Motorola Surfboard) occasionally, and this can improve performance. This is a standard 'fix everything' from the support guys. Usually they are quite good. They are always helpful (when you can get through), but they don't always know their ARP from their elbow. On of their senior tech did give me the URL of a site that can help troubleshoot problems on the Net. Overall, I'm pretty happy with the service from NTLWorld. Just out of interest, what sort of router are you using Sam?
