[Author Prev] [Author Next] [Thread Prev] [Thread Next] [Author Index] [Topic Index] [Home] [Search]Your work arounds are basically four in number. 1) Acquire a flash bracket that screws into the tripod socket and accept the small parallax error. 2) Epoxy a cold shoe to the top of the camera and accept the inevitable loss of value in exchange for much greater utility. You could use those Velcro tabs to mount a cold shoe so that it could be removed 3) Mount the finder on a lanyard around your neck and use it to frame your shot then bring the camera to your eye using the focusing patch to center the image you just composed. 4) Purchase a Bessa L and mount the 15 permanently. Many times I don't use the finder as for me the 15 is close to the world that I see with both eye open and the only compensation is for how the lens sees near/far. Last weeks PAW is an example, I saw the scene behind me, planted the camera on a fence post and shot. http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=1090453 This is slightly cropped as I didn't get the horizon level and flipped as I was scanning way to late in the night.
