Details are straight from this Sunday's Chicago Tribune. Don't know how long either exhibit runs, but do know that Tuesday's are free at the Art Institute of Chicago. Robert Frank -- "What I Am Looking At: Robert Frank Photographs," 30 works recently given to the museum by the seminal artist; opens Saturday at the Art Institute of Chicago, 111 S. Michigan Avenue; $10, 312-443-3600. David Plowden -- "David Plowden: Photographs," black-and-white images of the American vernacular; opens Saturday at the Chicago Cultural Center, 78 E. Washington Street, free; 312-744-6630. I've not seen previews of either; Chicago LUG-ers contact me if you'd like to make one or both of these part of the winter gathering we've started to discuss or are simply in the mood for a downtown outing.
