Can you tell me if there was an overlap in production of the Leica 1a 
and the Leica standard?

As I recall, the Leica 1a has a round-shaped accessory shoe, and the 
Leica Standard changed to a rectangle.

Were there Leica 1a's made with the rectangular shoe?
