I didn't use glasses so cannot comment on the eye relief but it was much easier to view than the IIIc built in finder. I do recall there was almost nothing around the framelines. It was not hard to use with both eyes open. I expect it is a lot like the new 35 finder you bought. Too bad Leica doesn't want to continue to make it. I also had a 50mm bright line finder, the SBOOI/12015 true 1:1, with both eyes open the brightline frame just floated in front of you. The 50, 85, 90, and 135 brightline finders were all 1:1.
