The fellow who sold me my mint Leica M3 (virtually unused by him because
it had no light meter; he put it in a drawer and bought an Olympus Pen)
was incredulous that I wanted to buy his Leica. I probably could have
gotten it for $200 and he would have thought he was ripping me off. To
him (like the officer), it was so outdated, it was worthless.
