[Author Prev] [Author Next] [Thread Prev] [Thread Next] [Author Index] [Topic Index] [Home] [Search]no big secret -- i darkened the sky and added contrast to it. the rest of the image is unaltered (except for resizing). the colors are all blown out like that because the shot was a rush-grab. we were on the way to the airport, passed the sign, i shouted "pull over!" dragged sawyer out of the back seat, stuck him in front of the sign, directed him "make the meanest face you can" and fired off three shots. jumped back in the car and realized that id had the film speed set at 1600 asa since i'd been taking pix indoors the night before. so ... 1600 asa film setting (on the d100, btw) 1/125 flash sync (oops) blown out, but it looks okay. the sky was a little light so i used the lasso tool, set the feathering to 3 or so, outlined the sky and used bright/contrast to make it darker and more contrasty..... that's all. kc - -- To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html
