I was told that "low road" is the underground, otherwordly road taken by those who die away from home to reach from their homeland. Apparently the sond was written about the Jacobite rebellion led by Bonnie Prince Charlie in the mid 18th century. The song was about 2 captured Jacobites, one condemned to death, the other sent back to Scotland. The lyrics of the song was in the words of the condemned man. - - Phong dplace wrote: > > >>What does "take the high road " mean? > > >> > > it's something to do with go'n your own way ... > as in: I'll take the high road ... you take the low" ... > wasn't that a song ? > > [or: you smoke yours & I'll smoke mine ... but that one seem to date one to > the 60's] - -- To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html
