It clearly stated in LHSA flier that it would be limited to 500 or so. A year later, some dealers are still advertising them as limited edition. I am curious how many they made over 500 (or so) originally commited. They made a slew of special editions but really in limited quantity as they committed. It seems that the LHSA edition is the only limited edition that was not limited in any sense. This is what I felt cheated on. Every company introduces a product at a high price to maximize profits from early adopters. As the time goes on, the price is lowered and at the end they go for a quite a bit less than the introduction price. Digital cameras are a good example as the entire cycle takes only a year. They typically have a retail price at the end of about 50% of the introductory price. Yes the M7 price will go down if that is what you mean by "screwed". If you want to "make" money buying cameras.
