Sounds like a wonderful assignment and I wish you well as I know you'll do just fine. :-) Just don't get too tangled in all the equipment, however I know exactly why all the gear, as this will be a healthy amount of people and things happening quickly and everywhere that requires fast manual focus and shutter trigger finger.
