My problem as well printing overexposed chromegic negs. Bulletproof
highlights, bulletproof everything!
Stick the neg under the enlarger, turn it on and go have lunch!
As with 35mm anything. Give it the exposure it needs to get the shadow
detail you need and no more, if that.
