Good point, and one that hit home today. I ran an action that had excessive 
unsharp masking and some other filters. I created the action for some large 
color files I'd worked on a while back. Hours ago I mistakenly ran it on a 
smaller greyscale file. Result...a grain pattern similar to N1600.

I've spent hundreds of hours using Photoshop. I learn new techniques with 
each new project. No substitute for trial and error....I guess it can still 
be considered photography!
