My camera started with one, and then progressed until about 40% of the rubber at the edges is gone. It seems not to rip, but rather just suddenly be gone! Lisle-Kelco (the Canadian Leica folks) will look after it, under warranty, but they want to send it to Solms, so I'll be without the camera for about 6 weeks. :( Take heart - the problem is not unheard of, though it seems to be rare - with only 3 bodies (including mine) and 2 winders (including yours) reported. All seem to be early production units. Many thanks to all who responded both through this list and privately. - ---------- David Young | A man who gives in when wrong - is wise.
