Try comparing the 35 Summicron ASPH with the last version of the 35 Summicron. I'm sure you'll still see a difference, but my guess - only a guess - is that it will be much much closer, the difference probably being seen in flare suppression. B. I recently experimented with a 35 Summicron with eyes, Cosina 35/1.7 and my 35 ASPH all shot wide open and what a difference. No comparison to the ASPH which blew the doors off the other two. It should for the price as someone is likely to say. Nonetheless if I had to have one body/lens it would have to be M6 or M7 with the 35 ASPH. ernie - -----Original Message----- From: owner-leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us [mailto:owner-leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us]On Behalf Of Beddoe, Neil Sent: Tuesday, July 30, 2002 9:46 AM To: 'leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us' Subject: RE: [Leica] 35mm Summilux-M I can sleep soundly knowing that my Summilux ASPH is justified after all. - -- To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html - -- To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html
