I have been doing a lot of reading on carbon fiber tripods and have found a few that would fit my needs and price. While Gitzo has impressive equipment, the Velbon Carmagne 640 and the Silk Pro 804 CF have rated very high in reviews I have read, and the Bogen carbons have not done so well. Do any of my fellow LUGers use the Velbon or Silk tripods? I have a hard time finding any of them to look at. I have been to Glazers in Seattle and they didn't have them. I am going to Spokane tomorrow for a few day and will check out Huppins or any other places around there. I haven't found anyone who actually has used or seen the Silk. Any help would be appreciated. You guys haven't steered me wrong yet, but you have cost me a lot of money (R8) :-) Thanks. Aram This message is made of 100% recycled electrons. No new atoms were destroyed in making it.
