Hi Paul,

They've never had anyone who understands advertising and marketing. If

anything it's been one of the major failings of Leica for years to do this

right and increase their market share. And quite frankly I know I don't

stand alone on this topic.

But this "hand thing" is a great big pile of dung thought up by morons who

have absolutely no idea of what the Leica is used for, nor by whom in any

sense of the word.

What's worse is, the people in Solms aren't bright enough to understand it's

just a pile of ......... well again I'll restrain myself.

My question was and still is....."What the hell do the hands of these people

have to do with picture taking?" Sure I understand the fingers focus and a

finger trips the shutter, so what? Damn it, it's the eyes that are more

important than the hands. I'd have been far more impressed to hear how these

Leica photographers see!....... shit Brian Adams?,,, Than what their hands

do holding the camera.

So once again it points up just how stupid the marketing people are who

thought up this advertising tripe! Shame! Shame!

Strong words, Ted et al.

I'm curious, with all the seeming experts on how advertising campaigns for
Leica should really look, how about those of you that are so steamed show us
samples of your campaign? Publish them on the web and let us vote on
whether your guys work is any better.......
