Two scenes from Historic Natchitoches.  One was Flag Day Evening on Front Street,

And the other is the Roque House (pronounced "Rock House")  It is of bousillage construction, that is, mud and deer
hair.  The original house was near Melrose plantation, but has been moved to the riverbank in Downtown Natchitoches, 15
miles away.  It presently serves as headquarters for the Cane River Historic District Commission.
