Apples and oranges really. I have both a Metz 32MZ-3 with an SCA3502 and an SF20. They are both very usable but, at least for me, in very different situations. First, and most obviously, the Metz is MUCH larger and heavier than the SF20. It is too large for the M6, IMHO, and I use it mainly on the R8 for which it is a better match. When used on an M, it unbalances the camera to a degree that it really defeats all the handling poise that is the strength of the M6 (or, I guess M7). From a lighting standpoint, I would use the Metz if I were trying to light up a whole space by bouncing off a ceiling or wall. I would use the SF20 with off-camera cord to just punch a little light into a basically available-light situation. - -- Rolfe Tessem rolfe@ldp.com Lucky Duck Productions, Inc. - -- To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html
