Warren,

You do not need to turn it off after every shot. I have had two M6TTLs for 6
months and when I go out to use them, I turn them on and leave them on for
several hours at a time. Mine still have the original batteries. So turn
them on, shoot and turn off when through for the day. Enjoy.
