It doesn't show up in Leitz's March 1960 catalog though. The original instruction book for the camera was printed in Germany 11/61. I also have an undated Popular Photography reprint on the 8S which states in its first sentence "E. Leitz's first movie camera, the 8-mm Leicina 8S has reached the U.S. on schedule." Now isn't that a first - a camera arriving on time, when promised by the manufacturer. Oh how I long for the "good old days."
