Less lubricant means less stuff to gum up the works and cheaper to build too. More lubricant means you have to use it but you get a quieter camera. I use my camera and I like it quiet. Having said all that, there is nothing "wrong" and if I send it back, they will not change anything. That is why I will wait until the warranty is over (actually a couple of months before so if anything is going south...
