Regarding the chromatic aberration, if it increases as you move to the edges of the frame then it is your SA. In any event it is probably your SA unless you have an extremely poor enlarging lens. However, see if you can borrow another enlarging lens from a store or an individual as even "name" manufacturers can make a clinker. You won't even have to make a print, just use your grain focuser to look in the corners of the image, if it is the enlarging lens then any neg you use will fringe. In fact, you should check a neg from a 35-85 focal length with your lens as if it is the enlarging lens then the fringing will be there. Don dorysrus@mindspring.com
