Penn Camera here in the DC metro area has recently announced they are no longer accepting any drop-offs for local Kodachrome processing. Their reason, I'm told, is that the Kodak facility in this area is no longer processing Kodachrome and that all regional Kodachrome processing is now being routed through Fair Lawn. /Mitch Zeissler - -----Original Message----- From: Ken Wilcox [mailto:klw.51@home.com] Sent: Monday, September 10, 2001 8:28 PM To: leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us Subject: [Leica] Kodachome processing I shot some Kodachrome on my summer vacation to try out my new R8. The first roll FINALLY came back from Fair lawn today (it took six weeks to get them back) I wonder how long it will take the rest. I had them return it uncut so they wouldn't get cardboard dust all over them. They are COVERED with dust! There are things stuck in the emulsion. I fear that I will have to give up on Kodachrome! I'm very disappointed! Does anyone know of a lab that will process Kodachrome in a timely and careful manner? Ken Wilcox Ken Wilcox klw.51(at)home.com
