I have been associated with forums and list serves for a decade. I have never heard people belittle one another as much as on some photography forums. Granted, it is a miniscule number (is that the right word?), but I have never seen any on other forums. And some of those forums involved things like handguns. Those folks were downright cordial all of the time. Perhaps the CompuServe forums were more inclined to boot people off when they got insulting. I would prefer not to banish people with bad manners, but why anyone would get angry enough to publicly call someone a moron over word usage is amazing to me.
