Cut a pieces of cardboard slightly smaller (1/8" or 3mm) than the final dimensions of the sheet film wanted. 2. Tape a stop (cardboard or ruler) on the exact measure (2.25-2.75" or 60-90mm) you want on a paper cutter (any type of cutter). 3. In total darkness place a sheet of film *emulsion up* against the stop on the cutter. 4. Place the pre-cut cardboard on the film against the stop in order to hold it flat, to insure a straight cut, and to avoid marring the emulsion in handling. Cut the film. 5. Place all film in secure box or envelope. 6. Move and secure the stop to the second dimension to be cut. 5. Repeat steps 2 through 5 for the second side, this time using the second side of the cardboard. Have a box ready to store the newly cut sheets. Since the recut film will not have any notches the emulsion side can be identified by the curvature of the film (emulsion on the inside), or rub the edge of the film between very slightly moistened thumb and index. The emulsion side will adhere to the moist finger. Be sure to mark the box or envelope with the type of film it contains. Joe Codispoti
