That is exactly what I was after.  Besides, most of these
little churches were built in the fifties, and cannot
survive a close-up of the front of the place; not to
mention, they all look just about alike, except for some
detail.

A very smart funeral home director in the 1950's looked
around and saw most of these post Civil War churches were
falling down, and so he financed new Church buildings . . .
all built from the same plan.

I suppose it was a successful public relations move, (lots
better than hand powered fans with his name on them) because
he is among the wealthiest men in the area. By the way,  he
keeps giving back to the community.  He recently financed a
huge recreational facility here in town, and a building for
a trade school and child care at one of the rural churches.
