It "appears" to me that the DOF in your pictures is quite a bit more than that, but it is really tough to see on web images so you may very well shot them at 1.0. I guess I expected much more OOF...but probably because your camera to subject distance was somewhat large that it really doesn't end up that OOF... There also appears to be slight vignetting in the lower corners but not the upper... that could just be how the scene was... Great tonality, the autos are quite nice too! BTW, here's a DOF calculator: http://www.darkroom.com/Images/DOFCalc.html I believe Leica uses a .025mm COC for their DOF calculations, and others use the 0.033mm...hence, the differing DOF scales on their lenses. > -----Original Message----- > From: owner-leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us > [mailto:owner-leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us]On Behalf Of Rei > Shinozuka > Sent: Monday, August 13, 2001 2:16 PM > To: leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us > Subject: Re: [Leica] bokars > > > what do you mean? > > i am reasonably certain i shot these all wide open. > > so far, i've only used the noct once or twice not on f1. > (never used the shutter speed dial so much in my life! :-) ) > > -rei > > > > From: "Austin Franklin" <darkroom@ix.netcom.com> > > > > > > > Rei Shinozuka wrote: > > > > > > > > i was trying out pan f with the m6 and noctilux (i can't > seem to take > > > > that thing off the camera--it's like it's welded to the > bayonet :-) ) > > > > > > > > anyway, i blew 4 frames on our cars in the driveway, and as cars and > > > > cameras are frequently the Off-Topic Topic on this (and the rollei) > > > > user group, i thought i'd share these: > > > > > > > > http://www.shinozuka-family.com/bokars/ > > > > > > > > -rei > > > > It says at the bottom of the images "50mm Noctilux at f1.0".
